Senior DevOps Engineer - Financial Services - Up to £100,000 (Dependant on Experience.)
Location: Canary Wharf, UK
Contract Type: Permanent
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a leading financial services company in London. If you are a highly skilled engineer with a passion for automation, CI/CD processes, and cloud infrastructure, this is your chance to play a key role in supporting mission-critical systems and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust pipelines to streamline software delivery and enhance development cycles.
- Automation and Integration: Leverage tools like Ansible, GitHub, and Jira to automate workflows, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to optimize deployment processes, improve efficiency, and ensure scalable, secure systems.
- Monitoring & Dashboarding: Implement and manage monitoring solutions using Splunk, Grafana, and ELK to ensure the health and performance of systems.
- Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Quickly diagnose issues, apply fixes, and suggest improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Contribute to the development and optimization of AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Automation Tools Expertise: Strong experience with Ansible, Jira, and GitHub to manage deployments and improve workflow efficiency.
- CI/CD Expertise: Proven track record of developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
- Coding & Scripting: Strong skills in at least one of the following Scripting languages: YAML, PowerShell, Python, or Ruby.
- Testing & Validation: Solid experience in testing and validating scripts and code to ensure quality and performance.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Desirable Skills:
- Ansible Tower/AAP: Experience with Ansible Tower for managing complex automation workflows.
- Splunk & Grafana: Familiarity with Splunk for log analysis and Grafana/ELK for Real Time monitoring and dashboarding.
- Chef & Infrastructure Management: Experience with Chef (InSpec and/or Automate) to manage infrastructure and configurations.
- API Development: Familiarity with API design and integration.
- AWS Expertise: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud infrastructure management.
- ServiceNow (SNOW): Understanding of IT Service Management processes through ServiceNow.
- Logging & Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana and ELK stack.
