Salary: Upto £50,000.00 per annum

Hours: 40hours per week Monday to Friday

About therole

The purpose of the role is asfollows:

  • To raise standardsof pupil attainment and achievement within the sciencefaculty.

  • In consultationwith the Headteacher undertake other identified areas ofresponsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of theschool's curriculum

  • To beactive in developing the science faculty curriculum. Ensure therange of subjects and qualifications are regularly reviewed inresponse to national developments and the needs of the school andstudents

When it comes tolooking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We arelooking for a Teacher experienced in teaching a range of subjectsand who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empoweringvulnerable students in the UK to be happy and to make their way inthe world.

Educated to degree level and/or ofQualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient,and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helpingevery pupil to reach their potential.

Whilstprevious experience of working in an SEN/ASC environment would bedesirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation,personal qualities and levels of resilience are just asimportant.

Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE level and A level, orequivalent

  • QTS orequivalent

  • Experience ofworking with pupils with SEN, particularly ASC (highlydesirable)

  • Experience ofworking with pupils with challenging behaviour (highlydesirable)

  • Experience ofworking within a multi-disciplinary team or with a therapist(highly desirable)
