Your new role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified Science teacher to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Horsham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science education to students aged 11-16, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall development of the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
- Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
