Job Description

The School

Francis Holland Sloane Square is a highly sought-after independent selective school for around 590 senior pupils aged 11 to 18 (HMC and GSA). The School is located on a spacious site in a beautiful residential part of Belgravia, close to the Saatchi Gallery and many cultural institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science and Natural History Museums, the Royal Academy and the Tate Galleries. The proximity to Imperial College offers us unparalleled access to lectures and support.

Francis Holland has an exceptional sporting reputation and promotes active participation in both competitive and recreational sports. The School believes that developing the skills to lead a healthy, active lifestyle is vitally important. Pupils have the opportunity to develop their sporting talents in a number of fields, representing the school in regular netball, hockey, swimming, tennis and cricket fixtures against other schools.

The Appointment

We have a brand-new role at Francis Holland Sloane Square to work as part of the Sports Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and well-qualified coach to join the team in a vibrant and forward-thinking environment. We welcome applicants from diverse sporting backgrounds, particularly those with experience in coaching one or more of our core sports, including netball, football, hockey, cricket and/or tennis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an innovative curriculum and co-curricular programme, helping pupils progress across all areas of sport and physical wellbeing. The coach will be expected to actively contribute to the co-curricular sports programme, ensuring pupils receive high-quality coaching and opportunities for competitive play.

While the successful candidate will primarily be involved in the afternoon curriculum and co-curricular programme, including day tournaments, after-school training, and weekend fixtures, there may also be opportunities to contribute to the curriculum PE lessons in the morning.
