Job Description

We are partnering with a growing tech company in Manchester to help them find a Software Engineer to join their team.

They have an amazing story of growth in Manchester and are ready to go to the next level of their journey.
You will be working alongside the Platform & Services Team Lead and other senior people within the business who will aid you with your development.

If you are a Software Engineer who wants to drive innovation and growth within the company and has experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, and Laravel, this is a very exciting opportunity to tackle unique challenges and accelerate your career. You'll play a hands-on role in building and maintaining customer and staff portals, as well as the APIs that power them.

This is End-to-End Development where you will work on projects using JavaScript and TypeScript in the Angular framework (with plans to migrate to Vue.js). The Back End systems are built with PHP & Laravel and are used to provide management tools for staff and customers of market research projects. There is a lot to get stuck into!

From a development perspective, they are really looking for someone with strong technical skills, particularly in:

  • Strong PHP knowledge utilising the Laravel framework.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AWS & Serverless technologies.
  • Optimising SQL queries for large data sets.
  • Developing privacy-centric applications.
  • Building for high availability.

From a personality perspective, you will need to be passionate, curious, and able to pick stuff up and run with it. You should enjoy solving difficult problems and creating scalable, user-centric solutions.
The company are offering a flexible salary of £45,000 + with some brilliant benefits.
It is a hybrid mix (2/3 days in the office) Manchester office-based.
