Salary: £60-£70k plus a rewarding benefits package and an annual bonus of 12.5%
Location: Manchester 2 days a week on-site

A leading company in customer-centric data science seeks an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a collaborative software engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy complex applications, software components, platforms, and services.
- Create and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and quality.
- Apply data design principles across all stages of the software development life cycle.
- Collaborate within project teams to meet service level agreements and maintain project timelines.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers to foster a supportive team environment.
- Continuously monitor and improve operational metrics, proactively identifying areas for enhancement.
- Stay current with required skills and training to align with organizational values and compliance standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL.
- Experience with relational databases including MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Pandas, and Apache Zeppelin.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including Octopus, Jenkins, and TeamCity.
Desirable Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes for deployment in data engineering environments.
- Strong experience in ETL processes.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding technical teams, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional roles such as data engineers and project leads.
