Job Description

A housing association based in the Midlands is looking for an established Quantity Surveyor to join their team on an FTC or Permanent basis.

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing pre- and post contract cost management in the delivery of maintenance activities, including the implementation and management of a robust supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for managing other members of the Commercial property team.
  • To work with the Directorate and Procurement department to develop and implement a robust supply chain. This will include taking a lead role for the Directorate for all pre-contract activities including developing specifications, costs model and drafting of contracts.
  • Strategic management of key suppliers making sure contracts are administered and updated correctly, Key Performance Indicators are maintained, and appropriate action is taken.
  • Provide post contract management/administration in the delivery of maintenance works where required including certifying works for payment under the scheme of delegation
  • Provide financial and budgetary control activities to support the department in the delivery of responsive, void, cyclical, planned and service charge maintenance activities

The role will be mostly remote however the ideal candidate will be able to travel to their Worcester/Solihull office as required.

The ideal candidate will have a social housing background

The association is looking to get someone on ASAP however they will wait for the right candidate.

Salary is between £44,000-£50,00 DOE
