An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available to join HMP Berwyn as an operational Support Grade.

Your new role
Your new role as an Operational Support Grade will involve working on a shift pattern, including nights and weekends. Your responsibilities will involve checking visitors in and out, working in the gate house, doing perimeter checks and ensuring the overall integrity of the prison's security.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to submit a DBS, as well as apply for full security clearance to be able to work in HMP Buckley Hall. This is something we will facilitate upon registration. In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be a calm and level-headed person who is well-organised and hardworking. Additionally, you will need an up-to-date CV with the last 3 years fully referenced. Any gaps in your CV must be able to be explained.

What you'll get in return
For this job you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £16.50, with increased rates of pay for overtime. You will also get 32 days' holiday a year with all uniform provided. There is a chance for an extension and even a permanent job offer.
