Maintenance Engineer

Role: Senior Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sweden - Vasteras - Other locations
Contract: 6-12 months
Budget: TBC

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with a competent and dedicated team of six engineers. In this role, you will primarily focus on driving corrective and preventive maintenance as well as optimizations. You will lead and conduct root cause analyses in the event of operational reliability disturbances and act as a point of contact for technical inquiries with our other maintenance depots in Sweden, as well as with our new production facilities in Europe.

Responsibilities Will Include:

* Being responsible for developing work instructions and standards related to various maintenance tasks, as well as upgrades and component replacements.
* Handling customer inquiries regarding vehicle development and improvements, and leading technical investigations into these changes.
* Collaborating with both internal resources within external subcontractors.
* Ensuring reliability and optimizing our train fleets.
* Conducting fact-gathering and damage reports, as well as assisting with documentation and risk assessments.
* Participating in damage review meetings and maintaining contact with customers to ensure the highest quality and service.
* Supporting other fleets when needed and contributing to technical investigations.

Someone Who Has:
* A technical background in heavy vehicle technology, including service/maintenance and/or production with a system engineering focus.
* A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's/Master's) or equivalent is a plus.
* Experience in the railway sector or a similar industry is highly advantageous.
* The ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
* A keen interest in technology and a willingness to learn more.
* Proficiency in Swedish and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
* The ability to create clear and structured technical documentation and instructions.
