Warehouse and Material Lead - Consultant Assignment
Location: Sweden
Duration: 6-12 months with a possible extension
Workload: Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)
Rate: TBC
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse and Material Lead to oversee all aspects of material management, inventory control, and logistics coordination in a dynamic construction environment. Our client requires a proactive professional to ensure the timely delivery, handling, and storage of materials essential for the project's success. You will work closely with logistics, expediting, quality, and construction teams to maintain smooth and efficient warehouse operations while adhering to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with logistics, expediting, quality, and construction teams to track, process, and ensure the on-time delivery of incoming shipments.
* Prioritize critical materials for ongoing and upcoming construction activities.
* Proactively address shipment delays or material-related issues to prevent project disruptions.
* Work closely with internal and external warehouse operators to maintain efficient material flow.
* Supervise and manage various laydown areas, ensuring proper organization and adherence to internal processes.
* Plan and coordinate laydown usage with contractors, providing both short-term and long-term strategies.
* Provide accurate and timely reports on material availability, delivery progress, and any discrepancies between material orders and actual deliveries.
* Maintain accurate inventory records for both external and internal warehouses, ensuring full traceability from receipt to final use.
* Conduct stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
* Oversee safe and efficient material storage in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in warehouse management, material control, and logistics, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
* Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and material preservation.
* Experience collaborating with procurement, construction, and expediting teams to ensure timely material availability.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
