Jersey Designer - Menswear

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading fashion company who are seeking a strong Jersey Designer to join their Menswear department, working across key accounts with major retailers. You will need to be very trend-driven and be able to drive jersey product development with a commercial eye for newness with a can-do attitude working across all Fashion Jersey Products.

Main responsibilities will include:

Complete trend research, design and develop ranges working with the overseas factories.
Work closely and liaise with factories in the far east.
Ability to create bestselling ranges.
Ensure critical path deadlines are maintained.
Attend regular meetings with buyers when required.
Required to work in a fast-paced environment, high volume design/development.
Sourcing of new fabrics and trims.

Person specifications:

Multiproduct experience across menswear jersey.
Creative and able to draw upon different inspirations to create luxe, sport, smart & casual designs.
Confident, enthusiastic with willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
