IT Regulatory Assurance Consultant

Day rate: Up to 900 a day inside IR35

Locations: London or Manchester

Our client is a global bank that operates in the financial services sector. They are currently looking for an IT Regulatory Assurance Consultant that has experience in assuring projects are compliant with IT regulatory requirements as well as auditing.

Main responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a UKT-related legal register to ensure compliance with different and overlapping laws.
• Create an annual insurance program to bring insurance together across the UK and provide a comprehensive approach to job security.
• Support the implementation and optimization of the bank's IT management framework according to industry standards (COBIT, ISO, etc.) with the aim of optimizing risk by supporting the implementation of proper management practices and procedures.
• Conduct first-line audits and provide UKT management with assessments of whether the UKT department is complying with all relevant legislation and can support other front-line efforts to achieve their legal obligations.

The ideal candidate would:

• Be responsible for regulatory compliance outsourcing, and looking at compliance operational resiliency
• Be running several different workstreams and how they assure themselves
• Be in an IT focused role in IT focused area must have a knowledge of IT and IT regulations and assurance
• Already have experience managing projects and have Agile experience
• Have to demonstrate a strong focus on assurance
• Have from an audit or assurance experience background
• Understand how to organise assurance and audits what it looks like for complete department
• Put future regulations in place, e.g. tools to understand all regulations they must comply with and how they are doing against them
