Job Description

Contract role - Infrastructure Architect (DC/Datacentre, VMware, NSX/ACI) - Hybrid - 12 months initial - Outside IR35/Inside IR35

We are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect (DC/Datacentre, VMware, NSX/ACI) to support a part of our end client's new data centre build.Ideally, the candidate should have recent experience-within the last 3 years or so-focused on private cloud, VMware, IAAS integration, migrations with NSX and ACI integration would be a bonus. Essentially, someone who's been involved in building the platform rather than simply consuming it.

  • Job Title: Infrastructure Architect (DC/Datacentre, VMware, NSX/ACI)
  • Type of Role: Contract - 12 months initially
  • Location: Leeds/Manchester/Bristol/ Edinburgh/Hybrid (2 days a week onsite)
  • Outside IR35/Inside IR35/FTC
  • Sector: Banking

Infrastructure Program

The programme involves building the data centre, fit-out, setting up shared services and ecosystems and migrating the bank's operations to the new data centre without impacting service.

  • The programme is expected to run until the end of 2027.
  • The bank has a small core team of around 18 people and relies on resource augmentation to bring in skills as needed to meet demand peaks.

Project/Programme/Initiative: New Data Centre Infrastructure

  • Familiarity with data centre/Datacentre/Datacenter/ Datacentres/ Data centres/DC infrastructure.
  • Focus on private cloud, VMware, IAAS integration, migrations with NSX and ACI integration would be a bonus. Essentially, someone who's been involved in building the platform rather than simply consuming it.
  • Banking/Financial Services Background
  • Location for this role is Hybrid however a preference would be for candidates closer to Leeds however will consider talent from elsewhere with a requirement to travel company key sites when required - Leeds, Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester, 2 days a week onsite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to convey technically complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
