Job Description
HLTA - UxbridgeWe're seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Uxbridge, London, starting immediatelty. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified HLTAs or those with equivalent experience working in SEN education.Key Details:Location: Uxbridge, LondonStart Date: ImmediateContract: Full-time until July 2025 (permanent positions available)Professional development opportunities availableRole Overview: You'll lead classes alongside 5-6 teaching assistants, delivering lessons and interventions across our all-through school. Working closely with class teachers and our SENCO, you'll help implement the national curriculum while supporting students with additional needs.Main Responsibilities:Deliver classroom instruction and targeted interventionsCollaborate with external specialists (Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists)Support students' social, emotional, physical, and communication developmentHelp prepare students for active participation in the community and adult lifeRequirements:HLTA qualification or equivalent experienceProven experience working with SEN students or delivering lessons in primary/SEN settingsStrong understanding of the UK National CurriculumCommitment to supporting students with additional needsThis position would suit someone passionate about SEN education who can create positive learning outcomes for students with additional needs.
