Full Stack .NET React Developer - Greenfield - Rolling Contract

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking a Full Stack Developer (with .NET Core and Modern React) for a 6-month rolling contract.

This role is 4 days/week on-site in London Marylebone.

Purpose of the Role:

Our client is embarking on a large-scale re-engineering project, transitioning Back End services from a monolithic architecture to a modern, scalable web-based solution. This involves splitting up the Legacy application, eliminating unused functionality, improving useful functionality and improving deployment mechanisms. The system supports 600-700 global users, and the team has strong sponsorship to drive its success.

This is a greenfield project on a rolling contract. If the relationship works well both ways there is excellent scope for long-term contracting work.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Develop and maintain Back End services using .NET Core.

• Implement React (with hooks) for Front End development.

• Assist in migrating a monolithic application to a web-based architecture.

• Contribute to splitting and re-architecting the application while maintaining essential functionalities.

• Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of the new platform.

• Collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholders.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

• Undertake occasional work on Legacy stack components as required.

What we require from you:

• Very strong Back End expertise in .NET Core.

• Some level of modern React competency is essential.

• Experience with large-scale projects with complex code bases.

• Ability to work with Legacy codebases and assist in modernization efforts

• Strong understanding of web-based architecture and transitioning monolithic applications.

• Ability to work in a structured, high-quality development environment.
