Job Description

We are seeking a DEI Programme Coordinator - Evaluation to join our People Services team within the People Directorate. This role is central to supporting our vision of being a dynamic, forward-looking organisation and our mission to serve and protect London. The successful candidate will be the backbone of the DEI team, providing programme coordination and business support, particularly within the Evaluation strand, to facilitate cultural change across the organisation.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Coordinate and manage multiple workstreams, including equality impact assessments, accreditation submission processes, and pay gap reporting.
  • Organise logistics for meetings, including room bookings, AV setup, agenda preparation, and note-taking.
  • Manage DEI calendar, schedule meetings, appointments, and events, ensuring timely communication of activities.
  • Handle electronic mailboxes, categorise inquiries, and ensure efficient follow-up.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, providing advice, guidance, and support on DEI matters.
  • Monitor progress within the Evaluation workstream, reporting on risks or issues that may impact delivery.
  • Develop and manage internal accountability processes to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge in DEI, including relevant legislation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience producing written material for various stakeholders and managing corporate communications.
  • Ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Experience providing line management support and working effectively with diverse groups.
  • Administrative experience, preferably in the public sector, with proficiency in email and diary management.
  • Numerical skills for interpreting statistical information and producing summaries.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and IT applications for collaborative work.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical skills for research and summarising findings, including data metrics and qualitative measures.
  • Organisational skills for managing workloads and contributing to projects.
  • Project management experience, including managing senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED).
