With over 14,500 members of staff across 17 countries and a unique mix of end-to-end digital, business and technology services, we help clients solve complex challenges with modern and innovative solutions.

We're big enough to be taken seriously, yet small enough to operate with an agile, open, relationship-driven approach. Our clients come to us with problems that need genuine thought, intelligence and knowledge; we're not just putting bodies on seats.

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer with strong Snowflake experience to join one of our key clients. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing new systems while enhancing existing ones, with a primary focus on creating and maintaining a robust data platform.

  • Orchestrate technical solutions and manage the technical scope of projects from inception to closure in collaboration with business analysts, scrum masters, and product owners.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to perform Datamodelling and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects in selecting appropriate products and tools for system development, ensuring adherence to technical standards.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including the Chief Data Officer function and vendor management, to enhance data capabilities and automate data quality processes.
  • Lead development projects in a Scrum Agile setting, ensuring adherence to software development methodologies and procedures.
  • Review code work for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to standards.
  • Proactively recommend solutions considering costs, business needs, and system impacts while staying abreast of industry trends and technological developments.
  • Adhere to change management policies and procedures without compromising IT control frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate risks and issues to CTO leadership teams and stakeholders.
  • Certifications related to AWS and Snowflake, with extensive experience in Data & Integration, particularly in building data platforms.
  • Record of continued education in Scrum methodologies, including training, conferences, and self-study.
  • Experience working in agile teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, Parquet, AWS services, Java, JavaScript, R Scripting, etc.
  • Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, cloud services, cloud-based databases, and cloud security.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and errors in processes and applications.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps methods to improve development and operational efficiencies, including cloud deployment, migration, and automation (CI/CD).
