Business Development Manager - Tech/Managed Services
London - Remote First

Our client is looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to secure new business and expand services within existing client relationships. This role involves the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, with a focus on consultative selling of geospatial expertise and managed services. A structured, methodical approach and extensive CRM use are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in utilities and government sectors.
  • Understand client needs and position geospatial consulting and managed services as solutions.
  • Develop and present compelling proposals, clearly communicating value and ROI.
  • Manage the sales pipeline using Zoho CRM, ensuring accurate records and consistent follow-up.
  • Contribute to go-to-market plans and align sales efforts with technical teams.
  • Assist in drafting non-technical components of RFP responses to streamline the sales cycle.
  • Support automation of processes within Zoho, particularly for subscription and training solutions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven B2B sales success, ideally within consulting or professional services with a focus on New Business Acquisitions.
  • Expertise in consultative and solution-based selling; experience in managed services sales is a plus.
  • Strong CRM proficiency, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and a structured sales approach.
  • Experience drafting commercial aspects of proposals and tender responses.

Any experience in GIS, data management, location intelligence and/Or Familiarity with the FME and/or Esri platform would be advantageous, although not necessary as training on the tech side will be provided. The key focus for the role is wining, closing and pipelining New Business.
