PACCAR Global Engines is the center of competence for engine and aftertreatment development within PACCAR. Functieomschrijving

The Certification Development team within the Global Engines department is responsible for acquiring and maintaining emission and OBD certifications. This involves both engine dynamometer and vehicle testing, alongside the mandatory documentation of our products. As part of this team, the Certification Documentation Engineer will focus on creating, reviewing, and managing essential certification documentation, including AECD (Auxiliary Emission Control Devices), AES (Auxiliary Emission Strategies), and OBD (On-Board Diagnostics). This role is crucial in ensuring that our products comply with global emission standards.

Responsibilities

Documentation Creation and Management:

  • Develop and maintain certification documentation related to AECD, AES, and OBD.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to discuss and draft the content of emissions and OBD documentation.
  • Review and track changes in documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the editing, reviewing, and approval process of the documentation.

Technical Review and Compliance:

  • Analyze the technical implementation of emission control systems to identify AECDs.
  • Provide guidance to the development team to ensure that the emission control systems meet legal AECD requirements.

Standards and Process Improvement:

  • Create and maintain engine test standards related to emission testing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in documentation practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Job profile

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering

• Experience with (heavy duty diesel) engines and aftertreatment; calibration and/or On-Board Diagnostics background

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills are mandatory

• Advanced English skills are mandatory

• Knowledge in using DITA and associated documentation tools

• Structured working approach combined with pleasure to work in teams

• Challenged by securing technical knowledge into documentation

• Pro-active attitude and the ability to work with many different people and organizations

Primary employment conditions

  • 12 times a monthly salary based on experience (Up to: €6200 gross per month)
  • 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries

Contract form

  • Minimum one-year contract, with the aim of transitioning to an indefinite contract
  • You will always receive 100% of your salary during your employment contract
