A Year 3 Class Teacher is required for a primary school based in Ealing. The school promotes high expectations and quality learning experiences for their pupils, all while providing a safe and secure environment for them to learn in. Their creative and broad curriculum creates pupils who are engaged and enthusiastic. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school received a 'Good' rating with the report stating that 'Pupils enjoy their learning because their teachers make it fun and interesting.'

Your role as a Year 3 Class Teacher
As a Year 3 Class Teacher, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with school policy.
  • Teaching from planned objectives, which take account of differentiation to achieve progression in pupil's learning, setting clear targets for pupils' learning based on prior attainment.
  • Set, mark, and monitor the pupils' assigned work, including homework.
  • Fulfil the school's and national assessment, recording and reporting system as appropriate.
  • Manage, with support, the work of Learning Support Assistants and other helpers in class to enhance children's learning.
  • Take part fully in primary school duties such as supervising playtimes, taking whole school assemblies and class assemblies.


  • What you will need for this Year 3 Class Teacher
    • Have qualified teacher status
    • Evidence of successful teaching experience, especially KS2, in post or on placement, and the potential to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice
    • An understanding of managing planning, assessment and record keeping, and how this affects optimal pupil progress
    • Commitment to raising standards of attainment and equal opportunities across the school
    • Hold the right to work in the UK
