Job Description
Experienced Year 2 teacher required for a long-term maternity contract starting in January 2025

Hays Education are currently working in partnership with an Ofsted "Good" Primary school to recruit an experienced Year 2 teacher for a two term maternity contract starting in Janaury 2025. The role is initially for two terms, but could be extended by a further term.
The school is welcoming applications from ECT's and Experienced Teachers.

Your new company
You will be working in a large single-form entry primary school located just outside Runcorn town centre. You will join an experienced leadership and teaching team who work hard to create a safe and engaging environment for children to flourish.
Your new role
As a year 2 teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs and interests of your pupils. You will also work closely with your colleagues and the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school. You will have access to excellent resources and facilities, as well as ongoing professional development and support.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Qualified teacher status.
  • An in depth knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Recent previous experience teaching in Year 2
  • An up-to-date DBS or willingness to get one.
  • Satisfactory references
  • The ability to provide an inspiring, engaging and safe learning environment.
