From our humble beginnings in a small yard with only a handful of machines as our offering, the company has grown phenomenally in size since then. Buckhurst, with an annual turnover of £15 million, is now operating from several depots across the UK and Scotland with over 3000 pieces of machinery and plant

Buckhurst now employs over 100 dedicated people across our depots and field-based roles, while working hard to retain that small business family feel from the early 90s.

Role: Yard Operative

Outline of responsibilities:

The principal role of the yard operative is to keep the yard and workshop areas tidy and organised at all times; this will also include assisting the fitting team in carrying out basic tasks during the maintenance and servicing of plant machinery.

Your Responsibilities:

• Washing and valeting of all machinery on return from site.

• Refuelling and recording of fuel usage.

• Ensure all yard areas are organised.

• Keep the yard and workshop clean, tidy and safe environment to work in

The professional experience we would like you to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Enthusiastic and have a can-do' attitude.
• Work well in a team but also have the ability to work on own initiative.

Some of the skills you will have:

• Current FLT Licence
• Excellent communication & organisational skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence

You will receive 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time.

Salary: Open to negotiation upon experience.

Schedule: 10 hour shift.
