UDM Expert role in CSP 5G SA Acceleration Project in the Baltics (EU passport)

We are looking for 2 Core UDM experienced designers/experts:

UDM Expert/UDM Design expert needed for a Project in the Baltics
SDM, CNF, UDM - Migration from from VNFs to Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs)

Location: Remote (with potential travel to the Baltics)
Start Date: ASAP (May 2025)
Duration: 12 months (extension possible)
Citizenship Requirement: EU citizens only (excludes UK)

Project Overview

You will support The End Client 5G SA Core project in the Baltic countries as a technical counterpart to Nokia's UDM delivery team. The expert will work from the Operators side, providing architectural oversight, coordination, and design review to ensure a smooth deployment and integration of Nokia UDM on VMware Tanzu.

Note: The actual UDM deployment and implementation will be executed by Nokia's delivery team. This role is focused on representing the End Client's technical interests in the design and integration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on UDM-related topics
• Liaise with Nokia's delivery team on UDM design, deployment planning, and integration
• Review and comment on design documents (HLD, LLD, CIQ) and provide technical validation
• Help gather and organize the required inputs for UDM integration
• Bridge the Client's internal teams (design, integration, ops, provisioning) with Nokia delivery stream
• Support the provisioning team with subscriber-related data input/config guidance
• Leverage Nordic experience (from Finland/Sweden) to accelerate local understanding in the Baltics

Key Experience

• Strong knowledge of Nokia UDM architecture and interfaces
• Experience in core network design and integration within 5G SA projects
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/Tanzu-based CNF environments is an advantage
• Experience working in large-scale telecom integration projects
• Excellent stakeholder coordination, documentation, and review capabilities

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working in Nokia delivery projects
• Familiarity with Nordic telecom operators
• Experience with OpenStack or Red Hat OpenShift
