Permanent Transaction Assistant job, office based in Kidderminster

Your new company

Hays are working with a growing successful organisation based in Kidderminster who are after a Transaction Assistant to join their busy finance team.
Your new role

Your new role will focus on the Purchase and Sales ledger, understanding the key accounts.
Purchase Ledger

  • Process all purchase invoices efficiently to meet month end deadlines
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations are completed
  • Allocate supplier payments

Sales Ledger
  • Responsibility for our largest customer across all Kidderminster brands
  • Set up new customers
  • Post and allocate customer cash

General
  • Attendance and involvement in process improvement activities
  • Ad hoc requests as required


What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills as well as Communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads and attention to detail
  • Although no formal finance qualification is required, a desire to complete AAT or similar qualification with a view to moving onto CIMA/ACCA is required.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Good time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have a great eye for detail and have the ability to make decisions and challenge inconsistencies in the data
