Hays is pleased to be working exclusively with one of Northern Ireland's leading manufacturing companies to recruit a Training and Quality Coordinator to join their team on a fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic role for someone from a technical background (FMCG) who wants to support the work force with training, development, employee upskilling and ensuing quality metrics.
Your new role
Training Delivery:
Conduct classroom training, hands-on sessions, and coaching on the shop floor
Develop and deliver induction programs for new staff at all levels
Source and coordinate external training activities
Maintain site training matrices to ensure all training is up-to-date
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development activities
Quality Management:
Implement and manage Quality Management Systems through effective training of the workforce
Ensure compliance with HACCP standards
Prepare for and participate in audits (BRC)
Continuous Improvement:
Be an integral part of the improvements program, contributing to ongoing enhancements in processes and systems
IT Competence:
Utilise IT skills, especially in Excel and e-learning management systems, to support training and quality management activities
General Duties:
Perform any other reasonable work instructions as requested by technical or other site departments
What you'll need to succeed
A degree in a related discipline, such as Food Science, Quality Systems, Microbiology
An awareness of Quality Management Systems and HACCP
Familiarity with BRC and major retailer audits would be desirable
Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel and e-learning management systems
Previous experience in a similar role where you have had to coordinate and deliver training on technical/specialist topics
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
