I am working with a client to recruit a Trade Analyst. This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite work required for team-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:Global Trade Management:
- Research and monitor local laws, regulations, procedures, and benefits related to import/export transactions.
- Prepare summaries of new regulations and update supply chain and business unit contacts.
- Monitor import/export activity for all business units in the assigned geography.
- Gather and manage import/export data, including classification data.
- Draft management reports on import/export activities.
- Gather necessary documentation and draft applications for import/export licences.
- Monitor the approval process with governmental contacts.
- Build and maintain relationships with governmental organisations.
- Communicate with brokers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Build relationships with vendors, brokers, and other external resources.
- Analyse import/export activities to ensure compliance with limits and restrictions.
- Prepare documentation to support importing and exporting of materials.
- Execute team processes and provide input into process improvements.
- Compile data and update metrics as requested.
- Maintain a strong understanding of local export control laws and regulations.
- Communicate important changes to managers and develop new compliance processes.
- Review and monitor controlled goods programs for all business units.
- Review and present management reports to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Monitor Export Controls Tracker and Control process.
- Evaluate Export Control Assessment Forms for compliance controls.
- Complete annual audit evaluations for active Export Controls Assessment Forms.
- Gather necessary documentation for licences and draft applications.
- Monitor the approval process with governmental portals.
- Analyse licence activities to ensure compliance with conditions.
- Act as a point of escalation for non-compliance issues.
- Clear communication
- Related IT skills: MS Office (especially Excel), email, calendar
- Proactive attitude
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, filters, etc.) and ability to analyse data.

- Knowledge of Cummins systems or business is a plus.
