Tooling Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical discovery into the planned tooling architecture.
• Define processes for using infrastructure as code (IaC) for tooling deployment, configuration, and maintenance patches.
• Validate security controls, including authentication policies and configuration, to maintain information separation and security, adhering to the 'need to know' principle.
• Establish principles for tooling, covering:
  • Tooling assurance requirements
  • Tooling security requirements
  • Preferred software hosting/architecture
  • Containerization and Kubernetes approach
  • Through life management approach
• Define and validate the tooling configuration strategy against user requirements for Beta deployment.
• Utilize infrastructure as code (Terraform) for tooling deployment and maintenance within the GitOps framework.
• Manage Kubernetes applications using Helm.
• Work in an Agile scrum team, participating in 2-week sprints to prioritize and achieve sprint goals.
• Maintain a hybrid working pattern, with approximately 50% onsite with the client team in Corsham and 50% remote working.

Qualifications:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Proficiency in managing Kubernetes applications using Helm.
• Strong understanding of security controls and authentication policies.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile scrum team.

Location:

• Hybrid working pattern: 50% onsite in Corsham, 50% remote.
