Test Engineer

50% on-site in brussels, 50% remote working

Must be based in brussels.

As a Tribe Test Engineer, you will support feature delivery and enhance testing capabilities within the organisation. This role requires strong technical expertise, coaching skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define Feature Test plans, coordinate testing stakeholders, and communicate on quality and progress.
• Align with squads on test strategy, automation, and coverage requirements, ensuring adequate capacity and time for tests.
• Guide squads in improving quality practices, introduce best practices, and foster a climate of continuous improvement within the Tribe Test Engineer Community.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 6 years in complex delivery organisations
• Proficient in test techniques, types, levels, and principles of functional and non-functional testing.
• Knowledge of structured and risk-based testing, software development methods, and life cycle management
• Familiarity with functional, application, and infrastructure architecture.
• Preferable experience with test and automation tools such as QC, Cucumber, Soap, and service virtualisation.
• Ability to determine estimates and workload effectively.
• Advanced coaching skills
• Excellent communication skills.
