Test Engineer

50% on-site in Brussels, 50% remote working

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to define and execute a comprehensive testing strategy for our clients, ensuring end-to-end functional and non-functional test coverage across the business. The ideal candidate will manage testing activities at the release train level, foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and drive quality assurance through structured and risk-based testing methods.

As a Tribe Test Engineer, you will:

• Define the overall test strategy for the tribe, ensuring it aligns with quality criteria and risk management principles
• Take charge of the E2E scope and test coverage of features, contributing at the epic level for both functional and non-functional testing
• Act as a subject matter expert, advising stakeholders and ensuring the test strategy is effective and efficient.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between leads, tribe members, DEV, and OPS engineers.
• Continuously optimise testing processes to improve quality outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
• Minimum of 6 years in testing, with a strong understanding of testing techniques, test types, and principles of functional and non-functional testing
• Proficiency in test automation tools like QC, Cucumber, Soap, and service virtualisation. Familiarity with software development methods, life cycle management, and various architectural frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of banking products and processes is mandatory.
• Ability to negotiate and persuade clients by demonstrating expertise.
• Promote communication among stakeholders to ensure smooth product delivery
