Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our client's team in Iberia. As a Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in providing technical guidance and leadership to the development team. Your primary responsibilities will include helping to solve complex technical situations on the ground, ensuring adherence to best coding practices, and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical direction to the development team, making informed decisions that align with project goals and best practices.
- Team Guidance: Act as a mentor and coach to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Best Practices Enforcement: Ensure that the team adheres to coding standards, quality assurance processes, and development methodologies to deliver high-quality software.
- XP Techniques Application: Advocate and implement Extreme Programming (XP) techniques, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Technical Excellence: Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, guiding them to develop efficient and effective solutions.
- Technology Stack Management: Oversee and ensure best practices in the use of the technology stack, including but not limited to TypeScript, React, Node.js on the Front End, and Java and Spring Boot on the Back End.
- AWS Expertise: Leverage your advanced knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance the team's cloud capabilities and solution architecture.
- Version Control: Utilize your expertise in GitHub to manage code repositories, facilitate code reviews, and mentor team members in version control best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a technical leader in previous roles, demonstrating the ability to lead teams and projects successfully.
- Expertise in applying XP techniques, with a strong focus on TDD, Pair Programming, and CI/CD practices.
- Highly knowledgeable in AWS, with the ability to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in GitHub, with experience managing complex repositories and facilitating collaborative development practices.
- Solid educational background and recognized previous engagements with high-profile companies, reflecting exposure to industry best practices and advanced methodologies.
- Extensive experience with core technologies, particularly Java, modern architectural styles including microservices and object-oriented design.
- Proficiency in modern Front End technologies, particularly TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
