Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Employer:11-16 Mixed Secondary Academy

We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join an outstanding Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 mixed academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to make a significant impact in students' educational journey.

Role Details

Position: Teacher of English

Contract Type: Permanent, Full or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)

Start Date: January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter

Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, challenging English lessons across the age-range

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Assess and monitor student progress

Support students in achieving their academic potential

Collaborate with department colleagues

Contribute to whole-school educational initiatives

Requirements

Relevant degree in English or related subject

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (applications from recently qualified Teachers or those working towards qualified status are also welcomed

Ability to teach secondary English language and literature

Excellent communication skills

Passion for teaching and student development

Ability to work collaboratively and independently
