Job Description
Savernake Dental, is a stylish, friendly, and relaxing Dental Practice in the historic market town of Marlborough, Wiltshire. With state-of-the-art facilities, including a CBCT scanner, Trios scanner and microscope, we are able to offer Dental excellence to our existing, new and referred patients.
We have a large, free onsite carpark and changing rooms with shower facilities available for the team.
With 11 surgeries, 2 of which are dedicated to Hygiene, as well as offering general dentistry, we are able to offer our patients onsite a Specialist Orthodontist, a Specialist Periodontist, a DWSi in Endodontics, implants, IV and inhalation sedation, Invisalign, and a complete smile makeover.

Full Time or Part Time
Mon-Fri 8.15am-5.30pm. (To include x1 late surgery a week working from 9.45am-7.00pm and one Saturday a month 8.15am-12.00pm)

Key responsibilities & duties:
Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including implant surgery
Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment following HTM guidance and protocols
Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned
Clean and sterilise all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session
Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste
Maintain the radiograph processing unit
Provide clinical assistance under the supervision of the Dentist/Specialist
Continually evaluate the needs of patients and specialist and deal with them promptly and efficiently
Assist the Dentist/Specialist in the completion of patient records
Monitor and maintain stocks as necessary and liaise with the stock nurse regarding any shortages of materials
Ensure that all necessary laboratory work is returned and ready for each session
Follow all practice policies and procedures and patient confidentiality
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the dental team
Take reasonable care for own and others' health and safety
Comply with all HTM-01-05, GDC and CQC requirements.
Undertake CPD in line with GDC guidelines
Work experience and skills:
The ability to keep calm and work methodically.
A caring and sympathetic nature
Exceptional listening skills and a calm, empathetic approach to patients, team members and clinicians to help build rapport.
A smart appearance and professional attitude
An ability to work under pressure in a busy team environment
Motivated, friendly, flexible, punctual and organised.
Qualification in Dental Nursing - NEBDN or NVQ 3
Dental Nurse Registration with the General Dental Council
Post qualification experience.
IT literate, knowledge of the SOE practice management system would be an advantage.
