IT Systems Engineer Bracknell - £50,000 plus benefits

A global and rapidly growing business based in Bracknell are looking for a Systems Engineer to lead server and application engineering for the UK and EMEAI region.

Key focus areas for this Systems Engineer role will include:

Regional Server and Data Centre Management

Setup, monitor and maintain hardware including servers, UPS, storage, load balancers, etc. Build, Manage, Patch and Decommission Servers and Services Support hypervisor technology (VMware and HyperV) Network and datacentre monitoring

Regional backup Solution Management

Tape, Disk and/or cloud based backup. Design, setup, maintain, document, operate and monitor the backup and continuity solutions for the region. Assess the backups by performing regular test restorations.

Regional and select Global Application support

Maintain both on-premises citrix and RDS environments Administer on-premises regional SQL servers Assist with Powershell scripting when required Maintain our WSUS infrastructure

Exchange

Manage the Exchange Online solution Manage on-premises exchange server (SMTP relay) Be the first escalation point for all SD requests related to exchange Administer Microsoft Active Directory and related services

DHCP/DNS Certificate solution (MS CA server, cert enrollment, cert lifecycle management, etc.) Maintain Sites and services Analyze, setup, optimize GPO s

The salary on offer for this role is up to £50,000 plus benefits including final salary pension scheme. Contracted hours are 35 hours per week.
