Vacancy: System Engineer

Deta-vast position, meaning you will start on a temporary contract, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance

Location: Netherlands, Zoetermeer (Work From Home, hybrid)

We are looking for a System Engineer to work on the Stockholm Bypass project in Sweden. Your role will involve translating customer needs into clear technical solutions, coordinating tasks within the team, and working on the Automatic Incident Detection (AID) System.

Your responsibilities:

• Understand customer requirements and turn them into concrete designs using Systems Engineering.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex issues.
• Participate in system implementation, testing, and commissioning in both Zoetermeer and Stockholm.
• Frequent travel to Sweden is required initially.

What we are looking for:

• At least a completed HBO or TU education in a technical field.
• Strong interest in IT, programming, and AI.
• Ability to design functional solutions.
• Interest in electrical engineering and complex systems
• Experience with Systems Engineering (J-STD-016 knowledge is a plus).
• Experience in a project environment within infrastructure or industry is an advantage
• Decisiveness, flexibility and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Good command of Dutch and English.

Primary employment conditions

• A gross monthly salary of up to €4,500
• A 13th monthly payment, periodically pro rata
• 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries

Secondary employment conditions

• Pension Plus scheme (build-up from day 1)
• 5% ADV surcharge
• Net amount of €750 for setting up your home workplace
• 25 days of vacation per year based on 40 hours
