Job Description
Are you a passionate Oracle Architect looking to work on impactful projects that improve lives while being part of a globally recognised, award-winning employer? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list 2024 and has been named one of the World's Best Employers by Forbes magazine. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner, not just an employee.
We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you'll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We'll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
We are happy to discuss remote or hybrid working and welcome applications from across the UK. The role is predominantly home-based but may involve occasional travel to client sites in Liverpool as required. All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) to Security Check (SC) level as a minimum.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a System Architect, you will provide Oracle eBusiness Suite technical leadership to developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams, ensuring best practices are followed. You will prepare and present technical documentation, architectural blueprints, and progress reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business needs. Additionally, you will work closely with senior government stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure solutions align with operational objectives.
Your responsibilities will also include defining optimisation options for Siebel CRM performance and storage capacity to support ongoing business needs. You will design and oversee Oracle eBusiness Suite integrations with external data stores, reporting tools, and document management systems. Moreover, you will provide expertise on Oracle eBusiness Suite user access controls, encryption, and secure data handling, ensuring data security and compliance.
Key duties:
• Define and architect the data deletion and archiving approach and strategy for the legacy Siebel CRM platform, including assumptions, risks, dependencies, and testing/rollback approach.
• Work closely with database and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless data migration and integrity.
• Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track CRM system health and data compliance.
• Optimise Oracle eBusiness Suite performance, indexing, and database management for long-term efficiency.
• Lead the end-to-end Oracle data archiving and clean-up process.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To excel in this role, you must have strong technical leadership experience with a background in Oracle eBusiness Suite and Siebel CRM. You should be confident in defining architectural approaches, analysing risks, and ensuring solutions align with business and technical objectives. The ability to communicate effectively with business, delivery, and operational stakeholders is essential.
Your expertise should include defining and managing data archiving strategies, ensuring compliance, and leading large-scale data migration projects. You should also have a deep understanding of Oracle database performance optimisation, indexing, and storage management.
We're looking for a range of the following:
• Strong experience in Siebel CRM development, DBA, or engineering, acting as a subject matter expert.
• Proven ability to define and implement end-to-end solution architecture strategies.
• Expertise in database optimisation, purging, and migration techniques.
• Strong technical leadership and guidance capabilities.
• Ability to assess risks, financial constraints, and business case considerations.
• Experience supporting teams delivering and operating Oracle-based solutions.
If you are an experienced Solution Architect with expertise in Oracle eBusiness Suite and Siebel CRM, we encourage you to apply and be part of our dynamic and innovative team!
