Sustainability Consultancy Business Manager
Location: Island of Ireland
Are you an experienced Sustainability Consultant looking to make a key move to business unit leader and take the opportunity to grow and lead an emerging team?
RS Standards is an established and leading global standards and business consultancy with projects in Ireland and UK, Europe and North America. We are seeking to recruit a Sustainability Consultancy Business Manager to establish and drive a new RS sustainability business division through organic business growth and to build and expand our presence in sustainability projects across Ireland and expanding to the UK market.
Operating across the Island of Ireland, this role offers the opportunity to lead strategic business development initiatives, forge key client relationships, and contribute to high-profile sustainability projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and execute a vision for market growth across the island of Ireland.
- To identify and pursue new business opportunities and contracts
- To provide expert guidance on sustainability and international best practices.
- To lead and manage technical projects deliverables, supervise and mentor team members, and uphold quality assurance standards.
Travel flexibility is required to support business development efforts.
About You:
Qualifications and Skills
• Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability consulting or a related role, with a proven track record in business development
• Membership of relevant chartered inistitutes
• In-depth knowledge of ESG reporting standards, frameworks, and methodologies
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
• Demonstratable networks in Ireland and tangible success in building client relationships and closing deals
• Experience in sustainability grant aided projects and initiatives
• Experience in developing new service offerings and growing a practice area
