You will be working for a local organisation that supports homelessness across the City of Stoke-on-Trent.
Your new role
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in engaging with rough sleepers, offering practical assistance, emotional support, and guidance. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised support plans, ensuring that each individual receives the care and resources they need.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach to engage with rough sleepers and build trusting relationships.
• Assess individual needs and develop tailored support plans.
• Provide practical assistance, including access to healthcare, housing, and social services.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive appropriate services and support.
• Collaborate with local agencies, charities, and community groups to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of local resources and services for homeless individuals is a plus.

Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as needed.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an hourly rate of £12.82 including holiday pay. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity and the working hours are from 6am-2pm across a full week, including weekends when required.
