Job Description

About The Role:

Our client is a small yet growing, family-run architecture studio based in London is seeking a part time Studio and Finance Manager (3 days per week) to join their close-knit team near Liverpool Street.

The role offers flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to take ownership of essential studio operations and book-keeping. You will be a linchpin for the business and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the studio. This is a highly cross-functional role with broad duties, working closely with passionate and knowledgeable individuals.

This role would be ideal for an individual with experience working for a small, family run architecture studio or construction company.

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping including invoicing, expenses, payments, and reconciliations via Xero
  • Preparing financial reports, tracking budgets, and assisting with forecasting
  • Preparing and submitting timely and accurate planning applications
  • Coordinating with subcontractors on tender submissions
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling and general administrative tasks
  • Supporting the team with ad hoc operational needs and fostering a positive workplace culture

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role within operations/finance/studio management
  • Bookkeeping proficiency and confident using Xero
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and adept at juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Previous experience in the architectural/ construction/built environment
  • Fits well into a relaxed, friendly yet professional team environment
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
