Strategic Data Analyst

• We are seeking a Strategic Data Analyst; someone who enjoys translating complex business needs into actionable data-driven strategies and products. In short: you will be responsible for making the IT&Data department more data driven.
• As part of this, you will help the SVR team to implement data-driven performance management by determining the required insights, the right KPIs and the set of data products to enable it. Your work will directly influence decision-making in the MT of IT&Data.

As a Strategic Data Analyst you will be functionally part of Schiphol's core Data, AI & Analytics department, DnA, and more specifically the Data Analytics Capability. Through strategic use of AI, data, and applied data science, the DnA team identifies growth opportunities and drives innovation with new data products and services across Schiphol. The team is also responsible for ensuring high standards of data governance and quality, maintaining a centralized business intelligence function, and working closely with IT to develop a future-proof data infrastructure. • In general: Setting up, drive and execute multiple data initiatives and communicate findings and results from these initiatives in a compelling way; all initiatives aim to make the IT&Data division more data driven.
• Specifically: Support the portfolio management team in improving and automating their reporting, performing data analyses to spot insights and drive improvements.
• Specifically: Support the strategy team in doing analyses on IT&Data performance (e.g. to drive cost reduction, improve IT&Data landscape health) and setting up KPIs, reports and dashboards to drive improvements.

This function is hierarchically part of the CIO Office. In summary the CIO Office is responsible for setting the direction of the IT&Data department.

The Strategy and Value Realization team ensures that the IT&Data departments optimally deliver value to their business stakeholders. They do this by driving the IT&Data strategy and managing a portfolio of projects that will realize these goals, including those related to our Sustainability ambitions. Also, the team helps other departments in making sure that we execute projects in the most efficient way: buy, build, or co-develop with a strategic partner.

• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a data analytics team or as data analyst in a business team, with experience in IT&Data strategy and portfolio management being a significant advantage.
• Expertise in exploratory data analysis and presenting the insights from these analyses in a compelling way.
• Expertise in defining and validating KPIs and setting up performance management reports/dashboards and process to improve KPI performance.
• Basic knowledge of how to automate reports and dashboards in a dashboarding tool (PowerBI knowledge is a pre); you will lead the team that does the automation.

• € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Schaal 12).
• Participation in the ABP pension fund.
• A 13th month (year-end bonus).
• An NS Business Card that fully reimburses travel by public transportation to and from work.
