Storage Administrator

Red Carpet IT is looking for a Storage Administrator in The Netherlands.

You will be able to work remote but have to travel one day a week to the Amsterdam Office.

Description of Role:

Maintain and develop the Mainframe Storage

- Responsible for correct functioning Disk, SAN and Tape infrastructure.

- Manage and support backup/restore, data movements, SMS policies

- Capacity Management

- Support GDPS Metro and Global Mirror

- Prepare and executed Storage Technical Refresh (Life Cycle Management)

To be managed Configuration:

- 20+ z/OS LPARs

- 4 DS8K Storage Devices (Mirrored configuration)

- 1 DS8K LCP/Cybervault device

- 2 TS7770 Tape Storage Devices.

- Broadcom G720 SAN Switches

Used technologies:

- IBM Storage Management tooling (SMS, HSM)

- z/EDC for encryption

- DS8K mirrors

- GDPS for automation of Storage function: Metro Mirror, Hyperswap, Global Mirror

- IBM LCP Cybervault

Work closely together with:

- Storage Team in Hungary

- Client

- IBM Support

- z/OS Architects

- z/OS Team in Hungary (especially for GDPS functions)
