Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum
Location: Remote

Their mission for the next few year is to increase their market size while making a positive impact on the environment. They are looking for a talented Staff Level Ruby Engineer to join their team and lead a group of three engineers.

Platform Ownership:
- Take full responsibility for the design, delivery, and performance of core systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement a roadmap for the platform that aligns with product and business goals, under the guidance of the Head of Software.
- Negotiate and commit to delivery schedules.
- Communicate strategic initiatives to key stakeholders across the business, ensuring their buy-in and approval.
- Assist the Head of Software with cross-functional operations and non-project tasks.
- Set a clear direction for the team.
- Delegate tasks effectively.
- Ensure delivery schedules are consistent with the team's availability.
- Maintain visibility over the team's activities and project execution.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues.
- Monitor team performance.
- Line-manage team members.
- Recruit and onboard new team members.
- Provide the team with necessary resources and training.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Create conditions for the team to thrive.
- Delivering high-impact features.
- Debugging complex problems around critical paths.
- Prototyping new technologies or architectures to assess feasibility.
- Diagnosing and optimising performance issues requiring deep expertise.
- Responding to major incidents or security vulnerabilities requiring urgent resolution.
