Job Description

One of our key clients is currently looking for a Solution Architect to help complete detailed solution designs for stories within the product backlog. Your primary stakeholders will be product owners, fellow Architects (Enterprise Architect, Platform, Process and Business) and pod members. You will be accountable for defining the solution design, in alignment with the technology strategy and roadmap, and articulating associated architectural risks, issues and technical debt. You will also provide architectural leadership across a portfolio of change.

You will need to Lead & Manage the following tasks:

  • Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs.
  • Accountable for ensuring the design of the product solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development life cycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities.
  • Work with Ops Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc) are resolved and that any design related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that feed Technology and/or data solutions development & influence service direction.
  • Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies, reference architectures and the overall enterprise architecture for their function.

    Technical Skills:

    • Hands-on API design skills and knowledge of IBMi programming language like RPGLE, CLLE (Preferred)
    • Experience and Knowledge of Implementing solutions in GCP or AWS. GCP is preferred.
    • Exposure to different integration paradigms (eg, REST, Event Driven Architecture, and messaging)
    • Well versed on API Security, Authentication, Authorization.
    • Knowledge of security like JWT and SSL will be an added advantage.

    Mandatory Skills

    • Experience building solutions on Distributed Technologies, Rest API's & Event Driven architecture.
    • Cloud Knowledge - GCP or AWS. GCP Preferable
    • Event driven design and streaming technologies, ideally Apache Kafka and GCP Pub/Sub
    • Knowledge of tools like Visio and also tools like Confluence, JIRA or similar tools used for collaboration and continuous integration.

    Nice to have

    • API connectivity patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns
    • Knowledge of Data processing/ETL
    • BIAN knowledge
    • Working in Agile delivery model
    • Exposure to Data Architecture - Relational and NoSQL
