SME/Booking Controls Specialist

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping the control environment for a leading organisation? Our client, a prominent player in the financial sector, is seeking an experienced SME/Booking Controls Specialist to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical control remediation initiatives while collaborating with various stakeholders in a hybrid working environment.
6 month initial contract
Hybrid working - 3 days in BELFAST
Up to £570 inside IR35 via umbrella
Conduct thorough analysis of existing booking controls on external trading venues to pinpoint gaps in the current control framework.
Collaborate closely with product area stakeholders to develop actionable plans for remediating identified deficiencies.
Define clear business expectations for proposed controls to align with regulatory commitments and overall business objectives.
Engage with Second Line of Defence stakeholders to provide oversight on identified gaps and action plans, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Craft effective communications and guidance related to project initiatives; facilitate stakeholder working groups, and prepare comprehensive guides and walkthroughs.
Partner with Audit and Control groups to investigate control failures, driving forward necessary improvement initiatives.
Participate in project management activities overseeing controls implementation, including regular status reporting to senior management.
Industry experience in Markets in-business management, Front Office control functions, or technology-related change roles.
Strong understanding of front-to-back order management and trade booking processes.
Proven experience working on control analysis in collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver remediation plans.
Subject matter expertise in markets traded products and relevant control principles.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across various businesses, regions, and support functions.
Exceptional communication skills, especially in interactions with senior-level management.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for effective presentations and reporting.
Experience in project management and leading initiatives.
Familiarity with markets products like Equities and FX.
Knowledge of trading venues and their operational frameworks.
Experience working with large data sets, summarising findings, and presenting key insights to senior management.
