About Hexagon Care Services
Hexagon Care Services is a national provider of residential care, education, and therapy for young people and adults. With over 80 homes and schools across England, we work closely with local authorities to deliver specialist services, including therapeutic care, crisis intervention, and support for children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties within our childrens homes. Our mission is to provide safe, stable environments where young people can build resilience and develop skills for a brighter future.
Although we are a growing organisation and continue to open new homes, our expansion has purposely seen a reduction in the total number of places we offer. We have adapted existing services and opened new homes with a strong emphasis on enhancing our therapeutic offer via smaller, bespoke, specialist services that follow an embedded therapeutic model of care.
About the role of Service Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Manager or Registered Manager to join an industry-leading team. This role involves overseeing a cluster of children's homes, primarily in West Yorkshire, with some responsibilities and travel extending beyond the region. In this role you will be the Responsible Individual for a cluster of homes, working as part of a team of service managers directly reporting to a Head of Care.
In some of your homes you will have support from Hexagon Care's therapy team, which consists of qualified practitioners who are registered with their relevant professional bodies and spend significant time in the homes working with staff and young people. We also have our own comprehensive education service with local independent schools who can support with educational needs and local offers.
We would expect the successful applicant to have the necessary skills to work collaboratively with our partner agencies and contract managers within the local authorities. As service manager you will be the responsible individual of these services and will collaborate closely with the Registered Managers of these homes to ensure the delivery of care to our young people is compliant with regulations, and lead Ofsted inspections.
You will need to have experience managing children's services and ideally have previous experience as a responsible individual, however if you are an experienced registered manager with a strong track record looking for that progression to the next step of your career, we absolutely want to hear from you.
We are looking for a driven, hardworking, and approachable individual who understands the challenges this role brings but also understands the rewards that are on offer. You will be a commercial and compassionate leader who can demonstrate best practice to your registered managers and provide the support they need to maintain excellent results and continually develop their home.
