Ashby dela Zouch (home of Hula Hoops, Space Raiders andPopchips)
6 hours a week across 2 days (3 hours each)Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am to 12:30pm

Weare looking for a passionate Sensory Panellist to join our ProductDevelopment team at KP Snacks. As a Sensory Panellist, you willplay a crucial role in evaluating the taste, texture, and qualityof our snack products to ensure they meet our highstandards.

  • As a Sensory Panellist, what will you bedoing?

    • Participate in sensory evaluation sessionsto provide feedback on new and existingproducts

    • Use your senses to identify flavourprofiles, textures, and overall productcharacteristics

    • Work closely with our product developmentteam to help create delicious and innovative snackofferings

    • Participate in sensory training developingunderstanding of sensory language and terminology and key sensorytestingmethods

    • Engage in product testing of various snackand other food products, assessing their appearance, aroma,flavour, mouthfeel, andaftertaste.

    • Actively participate and collaborate indescriptive panel discussions describing product attributes,attribute definitions, use of scale and scalereferences.

    • Responsible for completely and accuratelyentering own product scoring data using specialist sensorysoftware

    • Follow instructions on sample evaluation,use of scale and questionnaire completion given by the panelleader.

    • Participate in product and sensory relatedtraining, and successfully applying this learning to the sensorypanelwork

    • Fundamentally illustrating a genuinepassion for food, the criticality of sensory perceptions and enjoyworking within a highly candid, collaborative and communicativeenvironment.

    • If you have a keen sense of taste, a lovefor snacks, and enjoy being part of a dynamic team, we would loveto hear from you.

    Please be advised that as a sensorypanellist the essential functions of your position will be to tasteproducts made with ingredients that include, but are not limitedto, nuts, dairy products, wheat products, sugar, soy, eggs, meatsand salt. In addition, it is essential that sensory panellists areable to distinguish between different flavours and textures.Applicants with food allergies, medical conditions or other oralconditions that may be exacerbated by the ingestion and chewing ofcertain foods are encouraged to check with their medical providerabout whether this type of position is safe for them and if theywill be able to perform the essential functions of the positionwith or without reasonableaccommodations.

    • Good sensory acuityas measured through screeningprocess

    • Passion for foodand snack products

    • Basicfamiliarity with ITdesirable

    • Organisational andtime management skillsdesirable

    • Good communicativeand articulate skills, combined with great collaborative,relationship-building behaviours areexpected

    • Must becomfortable eating large amounts of snackproducts

    • FullDriving licence
