Job Description

About Us:

We are a prominent group of UK medical facilities, including the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital in Aylesbury, The New Foscote Hospital in Banbury and the Harley Street Maxillofacial Clinic in London. We are now looking for a Senior Web Manager/Content Creator to assist in the management of the WordPress websites and create patient-focused content that will drive traffic and increase engagement. Other websites may be needed in the future.

Your Role:

As the Senior Web Manager/Content Creator you will assist in the overall management, strategy and content creation of the hospital and clinic websites. You will be creating high quality, patient-focused content to increase organic search rankings and to support business objectives, working with varied hospital departments to understand what they do. Hybrid working conditions can be explored.

Your Application:

Along with your CV, we would like to see an additional note, covering why this post could suit you and the value you would add.

This is a great job in a friendly environment requiring some technical website knowledge and experience in creating optimised website content with a good understanding of SEO best practices. Let us know about your abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall management and development of the WordPress websites in collaboration with our external developers.
  • Create and edit high quality, optimised content across the websites, maintaining excellent writing skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings in line with business objectives.
  • Handle day to day website requests from different departments
  • Be a champion of the websites to increase understanding and awareness across the departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments when required and work closely with marketing to deliver projects together.
  • Plan, deliver and report on Google Ad campaigns
  • Present website performance reports when required to senior managers
  • Assist in shaping our digital marketing strategies across platforms, including search engines and social media. Take a lead in internal strategy discussions.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing websites using WordPress
  • Excellent skills and experience in writing content for websites with a sound knowledge of SEO
  • An understanding of website usability, design best practices and a user-centred approach.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and present to senior leadership teams
  • Self-driven and able to work independently, or as part of a team.
  • Experience working with clinical websites may be helpful.
  • A knowledge of HTML & CSS will be an asset.

The Person We Need:

You will be sufficiently experienced to lead in your field and be able to discuss aspects of this in a friendly, positive way. Technical skills are very welcome. A primary need is to be able to communicate via the fluent patient-focused web content you create. Managing that content in a way which can improve search traffic is equally essential.

The post offered will be enjoyable, as part of a supportive and welcoming team, working with our other website manager. Taking each business forward is a priority, although you will have a fair degree of freedom in how this is achieved.

We are proud to be offering this role as a Disability Confident Committed and Real Living Wage employer.
