Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Frontend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing Front End components within a ReactJS environment, collaborating across teams, and utilizing APIs to improve our SDUI Component Library.
This position is open to candidates based in Portugal, with flexibility for remote or on-site work in Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra. Proficiency in English (B2 or higher) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers and engineering managers to create scalable, robust components that meet the needs of our business partners.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of our libraries and applications, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions to streamline development and enhance the component library.
- Contribute to the development of software components that expand and improve our portfolio.
- Produce design documents and maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate future development and code reuse.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools, and leverage your knowledge to drive continuous improvements in software, processes, and the overall development environment.
- Work closely with development teams and technical leads to resolve roadblocks and ensure project momentum.
- Mentor junior developers, providing coaching and guidance to help them grow.
- Offer technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues effectively.
- Lead solution design sessions, creating technical diagrams and documentation to support implementation.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 7 years of experience in Front End development, with a strong background in component-based development.
- Familiarity with our tech stack, which includes but is not limited to HTML5, CSS3, Modern TypeScript, React with Next.js, Testing Libraries, REST Services, Storybook, Shadcn (RadixUI), and Tailwind CSS.
- A passion for creating elegant, efficient solutions, with a deep understanding of integrating cloud services and optimizing architectural design.
- A continuous desire to learn and grow, always looking for opportunities to improve your skills, our products, and our team.
- A responsible and proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience building high-traffic, production-ready applications.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, AA) and best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, particularly using GitLab CI.
- A proactive approach to identifying and fixing bugs, taking ownership of issues rather than ignoring them.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear terms to non-technical stakeholders.
Does this sound like you? We'd love to hear from you!
