Job Description

Overview:

Our client, a global digital and physical solutions provider, is looking to expand its Software Development function, to support agile services for multiple customers and internal stakeholders, across a wide range of key products and business areas. The successful Senior Technical Product Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing the product management activities for all Authentication product lines as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and manage the life cycle of Authentication product lines, including development, support, and end-of-life strategy.
  • Collaborate across functions such as Project Management, Software Development, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Customer Service, Finance, and Procurement to align product activities.
  • Guide Product Managers, Owners, and UX designers in best practices and embed Product Management frameworks and processes.
  • Act as the go-to expert for Product Management, supporting the software team in delivering the product roadmap.
  • Ensure solutions meet customer needs and evaluate in-house vs partner solutions for full-spectrum offerings.
  • Lead quarterly roadmap sessions, track progress, and define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Gather and analyse market requirements, introducing best practices across Authentication products.
  • Represent Product Management with leadership teams and key stakeholders.
  • Define business cases for new products, collaborate with Business Development, and support commercialization efforts.
  • Guide feature development and backlog prioritization to maximize business value.
  • Monitor product performance, drive process improvements, and implement end-of-life strategies.
  • Conduct market analysis for Authentication software, Track & Trace, and customer engagement platforms.
  • Support product strategy development, partner relationships, and sales enablement activities.
  • Support divisional leadership in executing Authentication strategies and provide input to annual planning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for strategic decision-making and governance across the division.

Key Skills:

  • Formal product management qualification (eg, Pragmatic Institute or equivalent).
  • Proven leadership and ability to deliver results through teams.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management across the full life cycle (new product development, in-life management, end-of-life).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies in Product Manager/Owner roles.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills, including customer engagement.
  • Understanding of financial metrics and managing forecasts.
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and develop actionable plans.
  • Experience in product marketing is a plus.

Desirable:

  • Experience in product security, brand protection, or related markets (eg, track and trace, supply chain, authentication, manufacturing Levels 3-5).
  • Leadership of small teams.
