Senior Technical Architect

On behalf of DWP we are looking for a Senior Technical Architect for a 6 month (Inside IR35) contract. Hybrid working with 2 days per week required in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Newcastle or Blackpool.

. Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
. Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.

As a Senior Technical Architect your main responsibilities will be:

. Application product design description, documentation, and communication.
. Application product design approval through governance.
. Ensuring high quality VFM solutions.
. Application Product roadmaps.
. Identification, capture, sharing and iteration of technical architecture patterns.
. Technology choices (for application and technology products), providing knowledge and experience in technical specialisms.

Essential:

. An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. (Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.)
. Experience of architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards.
. Experience of leading on application product design description, documentation, and communication.
. Experience in the identification, capture, sharing and iteration of technical architecture patterns.
. Experience in data COTS products and designing systems used to store data .
