We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Solutions Architect to join our team to drive the adoption of Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio Manager for Enterprise. As an Architect you will be responsible for evangelising the benefits of AVD and Nerdio, providing our customers with high quality assessment, design and advisory services. You will be the technical lead on customer opportunities and are expected to deliver documentation, customer demos, and workshops and assist with the sales cycle working closely with Sales Specialists and Account Managers.

The role requires you to demonstrate the skills of a subject matter expert, which means constantly striving to be at the top of your game in the latest Microsoft technologies and methodologies.

Although you are expected to be an expert in Microsoft AVD, being able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the wider VDI portfolio would be key to this role.

As Senior Architect - AVD & Nerdio you'll be responsible for:

• Helping to understand, scope and document customers' business and technical requirements
• Producing designs, configurations and input into solutions proposals where appropriate
• Providing technology evangelism through roadmaps, market analysis and technical influence to customers, sales, services and Microsoft directly
• Working with other Solutions Design specialists, Professional Services Consultants and Architects to develop cross- discipline solutions for customers
• Working with the Softcat Sales Specialists and the Softcat Account Management team to provide detailed technical information and expertise to assist customers in their business needs
• Supporting Chief Technologists, vendor alliances and partner management teams with technology direction, joint business plan development and QBR support

We'd love you to have

• A proven background in Presales, Professional Services and Solutions Design from your previous Subject Matter Expert role
• Experience of conducting customer meetings, whiteboarding and documenting solutions
• A passion for technology and for making technology work for businesses
• Ability to understand and ratify technical designs at high level
• Excellent communications skills, particularly with customers
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality of output.
